Make Money At Home By Changing The Way You Think

September 5, 2008

We all want more success for ourselves; more money, more control over our lives and of course, a greater amount of free time so that we can have the freedom to enjoy our lives. A few people have already discovered the path to achieving this, but most people struggle simply to make ends meet.

While there is nothing genetically different between the wealthy and poor, there is a major difference in habits, mindset and belief systems. It is a fact that the wealthy and poor each have very different belief systems. Even if you are not aware of how your belief system affects your success, it does just as well.

Being successful isn’t dependent on your background or your upbringing - instead, it’s all about knowing how to implement the ideas which can lead to success. You need to get around the things which keep you from being successful so you can start from nothing and become a massive success.

The wealthy understand what it takes to create financial freedom and are committed to doing whatever they need to do in order to achieve it. They understand that achieving financial freedom doesn’t only require doing the right things, but thinking the right things. In short, achieving success and financial freedom requires a commitment to personal development.

Before you even take the first step, you have to decide where you want to go. Driving is a good analogy. Say that you are driving - obviously, you have a place you are starting from and you have a destination you want to arrive at. To get somewhere if you have never been before, you can use a map or GpS unit to get there.

Whatever your starting point, you can still make it to your destination because you’ll know which way to go. It makes no difference if its only one mile or a thousand - if you keep going the right way, you’ll get there sooner or later.

Life isn’t about going through the motions of day-to-day life; paying bills, going to bed exhausted, hating your job and waking up the next day to do it all over again. Life is about achieving goals, feeling good, living your potential and creating the kind of life you love to wake up to every morning.

Grab a notebook or piece of paper and make a list of the things that you really want. The number of goals is insignificant, but it is important that they mean something to you. The more desire that is attached to a goal, the more powerful it becomes. Have you ever achieved something only to please someone else? It doesn’t feel the same as doing something you really want to do because there’s no desire behind it.

When you finish your list, go back to it and identify the top three of these goals; the ones you feel the strongest desire for. Write these three on another sheet of paper and post it all over you home to make sure they stay at the forefront of your mind at all times.

After all, once you know where you are going, your mind can figure out a route to get you there.
